HYFR! Drake went 0 to 100 real quick and gave away the whole budget for his God’s Plan video!
His latest release sees the ‘6 God’ burst into a supermarket announcing, ‘Anything you guys want in this store is free’ donates to after-school projects, hands out wads of cash on the street, writes cheques for the fire department and buys toys for schoolchildren... What a guy! Take a look for yourself
Before releasing the video, Drake said God’s Plan was ‘the most important thing I’ve ever done in my career.’
Drake is a Hip-Hop Superhero!
With God’s Plan, Drake is lighting-up communities, giving opportunity and hope to thousands, the perfect example of someone in a position of power using that position for the good of the people.
'The most important thing I've ever done in my career'
God’s Plan isn't about Drake, it isn’t about promoting his next single, it’s about the people of Miami, it’s about kindness, it’s about giving, and God’s Plan should leave a cultural imprint. Drake wants this video to be the start of something rather than an anomaly in a Hip Hop world that is especially over-indlugent.
Maybachs, Rolex’s, and Hennesey have been substituted out for these genuine acts of kindness and humility, there’s hope that God’s Plan brings change, let this be a trend of giving and empowering communities.
After the video release, Drake took to Instagram to tell his followers to ‘just go be kind in any way you can’
Drake wants to inspire people to join him on his journey, and I'm fully on board with that, this is one man changing the lives of many, but there are still a few cynics out there thinking that Drake is massaging his own ego by documenting his random acts of kindness.
I don’t buy that, let’s have more of this, show me people using their power for good, give me those warm feelings when I see someone’s life being made instantly better, show me all of that! Drake’s doing it, let it be cool to give, let’s go out and help people.
Drake has embodied what we are about at Vibe, we’ve also been giving back, recently, which you’ll know about if you’ve been following our recent social media updates, if not then wait for our next blog to see what we’ve been up to.
The Budget wasn’t $996,631.90 but we’ve been spreading the Good Vibes nonetheless.
